I thought the interviews were really cool, and fun to listen to. It is interesting to hear other students life plans and how they are going to go about achieving their goals in life. The one I could relate to the most was the psychologist. I thought it was cool that she used her own personal experience to help her decide her future job. I think she is really following something she can enjoy and relate to which will take her far in life because usually if you love your job you do well in it. (most cases). Being happy is what it is all about and I know that most of these kids are following their hearts in these interviews which I think is really cool. Minus the undecided and marijuana "baker" most of these students seem to have their life on track.
As for me, where do I see myself in ten years? Well I have always wanted to be a lawyer, then I got really interested in psychology and helping people out, kind of like trying to change the world and stuff. But now I can see myself being a hostage negotiator in ten years. Its a unique job that not many people can handle. You really have to be mature and have your emotions in check. A hostage negotiator does a lot of things and can save a lot of lives. The down fall is that you can also cost someone their life if you don't do your job right. I cant see myself ever having a husband or a family or anything further down the road. So living wealthy wont be a problem. I want to go on a lot of mission trips. Start a home to take care of mentally disabled children whose parents can not take care of them, and work on peace projects. Also help our failing justice system, which is why I would be a hostage negotiator. But mainly my goal in life is to have an impact on the world. Like Tupac said, once person can not change the world, but you can give people the idea's to help it. Which is why instead of focusing on making money and living a large nice fancy life I just want to focus on changing people for the better and hopefully them paying it forward and doing the same to others. Many bad cycles need to be broken and I am very anxious to become and adult and have a job that can hopefully stop these terrible cycles that are slowly destroying our society.
